Hi, I am Nancy. I am a mother, designer, pianist, oboe player, teacher, yogi, traveler, baker, foodie, entrepreneur and the founder of twelve-o-one. I am fascinated by ideas. I am delighted when I discover beneath the complex surface an elegantly simple concept to explain why things are the way they are. My mind is always looking for connections so I am intrigued when seemingly disparate phenomena can be linked by an obscure connection, practicing the art of looking sideways. 

After obtaining a degree in Communication & Design, Majoring in Interior Design, and (almost) minoring in Philosophy at Ryerson University (Toronto, ON., Canada), I had the opportunity to explore various career paths. I managed A-Volume retailers including lululemon Athletica and Starbucks Coffee where I helped recruit staff, train managers, and helped set up new stores across North America while breaking record sales. I led the launch of Anthropologie’s [part of Urban Outfitter’s Inc.] first International store in Toronto, Canada. While working as an Interior Concept Designer at one of Canada’s leading interior design firms in Toronto, Burdifilek, I worked on numerous award-winning International Retail & Hospitality projects. As an architectural project manager for Eastern Canada and the United States, I worked closely with Interior Designers and Architects to ensure that their vision comes to life from conception to completion. 

I loved my career but with a diverse background in business, music, marketing, design, project management, interior design, retail and hospitality management, I wanted a career that would allow me to utilize all of my skillsets and live the life I dreamed of. When I began twelve-o-one, it gave me the freedom to work from anywhere in the world and to do what I love best: help brands launch, scale, innovate, and grow to their full potential, producing lasting and measurable results.

I spent over 8-years living and working abroad.  I have lived in Bangkok, Thailand, and Bali, Indonesia. I had the pleasure of working with international brands from various sectors including Haywire Jewelry,  Matcha Cafe Bali, and Bestival musical festival in Bali, Indonesia.

It is my passion to help my clients reach their full potential with their businesses and live their dream life. For me, nothing is more rewarding than working with entrepreneurs to materialize their dreams. I can’t wait to see what we create together.
